Biking Package at Topas Ecolodge

The beautiful Topas Ecolodge is located 18 km from Sapa, deep in the Hoang Lien National Park. Our 33 bungalows overlook the picturesque valleys and mountains, home to Red Dao and Tay ethnic minority people. Enjoy the return Hanoi – Sapa ride with our luxurious Topas Mountain Express limousine; get on your high quality mountain bike and ride along winding mountain roads and experience the ethnic communities and their unique cultures, or relax with breathtaking views by the poolside at the tranquil lodge.
Day 1
Leisurely drive to Topas Ecolodge and afternoon biking tour to neighboring villages
Our luxury Topas Mountain Express will pick you up at your Hanoi hotel between 6,30 and 7,00 and your approximately 5 hour journey to Topas Ecolodge has begun.
After checking into your bungalow, sit back and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony.
The cycling tour in the afternoon starts at Topas Ecolodge down a quiet road with great rice terrace views. After about 3 kilometers you will leave the bike behind and take the short hike into Lech village, once there, you will visit a traditional wooden family home, meet the friendly Red Dao hosts and experience their daily way of life.
Back at the parking place, you will take a further ride to the Moi village and learn how the local women do their embroidery, which the Red Dao people are very famous for. The tour ends back at Topas Ecolodge where you may want to book a traditional Red Dao herbal bath or enjoy a relaxing massage at the spa.

Day 2
Mountain bike to remote Sapa valley. Limousine back to Hanoi
You will start at Topas Ecolodge by cycling on a quiet road for a while before enjoying a breathtaking descent into Ban Ho village. At the bottom of the valley you will meet the Tay minority people, the largest ethnic minority group living in Sapa. They are famous for their beautiful stilt houses and you will be warmly welcomed to visit their home, experience their daily life of farming and fishing in the river. Leaving Ban Ho village your ride becomes a bit more challenging with some uphill sections on this steep winding road. At Thanh Phu village, also inhabited by the Tay minority, your lunch is served at a nice local family home where you enjoy the view of the stunning valley while tasting some traditional local cuisine. In the afternoon, you continue biking to My Son village, inhabited by the Xa Pho ethnic minority, one of the smallest ethnic groups in Vietnam. The Xa Pho people are poorer than most hill tribes; they still keep their original way of life which is reliant on nature and foraging, they marry very early and dye their teeth black. You finally cycle down to Thanh Phu bridge at around 15:00, here you will meet the Topas Mountain Express for a 4.5 hour drive back to Hanoi.
